Miyamoto Relief Afghanistan, a dedicated branch of Miyamoto International, combines local knowledge and international engineering expertise to rebuild safer, stronger communities following the devastating 2022 earthquakes. In partnership with IOM and local TWiGs, we assess damage, estimate repair costs, provide recommendations, and engage with the community to nurture resilience through knowledge transfer and skill development.

Conducted thorough assessments of over 10,000 households to identify the extent of earthquake damage and prioritize rebuilding efforts.
Provided technical advice and guidance to ensure the reconstruction of safer, more resilient local housing, reducing the risk of future disasters.
Trained 160 engineers from 21 agencies and over 1,000 masons from 8 agencies, fostering a skilled local workforce for sustainable rebuilding.
Delivered 82 training sessions across 3 hubs and affected communities/villages, engaging local residents in the rebuilding process and promoting safer construction practices.
Successfully repaired 25 compounds in PodalKai and Jani Villages, Gayan district, Paktika province, benefiting 100 families/households and 563 individuals.
Conducted comprehensive structural assessments and provided recommendations for the WVI Afghanistan Office and World Food Programme warehouses, ensuring the safety and resilience of essential facilities.
