Completed Projects
Miyamoto Relief Ukraine has already invested 3 million UAH (80,000 USD) in construction work and materials, successfully restoring a kindergarten in Zahal'tsi and a residential building in Borodyanka.
In March 2022, Borodyanka, like Irpin and Bucha, faced occupation and extensive destruction. This devastation was not limited to Borodyanka alone but extended to surrounding villages, such as Zagaltsi, which is home to over 2,000 residents. One poignant example is a kindergarten located at Nezalezhnosti Street #121 G, which experienced significant damage from a shell strike. As a result, 70 children and their families were left without access to a crucial preschool education and development center.
To save the building from further ruin, Miyamoto Relief Ukraine enlisted the help of expert Ukrainian engineers from Miyamoto International Ukraine. Together, they repaired the kindergarten's roof at a cost of over UAH 350,000. Subsequently, local authorities arranged for the installation of windows and doors.
Dr. Kit Miyamoto personally financed the work at this facility, demonstrating the transformative impact of the fund. By mitigating damage and fostering favorable conditions for other humanitarian initiatives, the fund serves as a powerful catalyst and an inspiring example of Ukraine's resilience and swift recovery. However, countless kindergartens and schools across Ukraine still need restoration. By rallying together around this shared objective, we can make a lasting difference.
