The global COVID-19 pandemic and a new hydroelectric dam on the Omo river have heightened food and water insecurity amongst the tribes of Ethiopia’s Omo Valley. We are seeking $130,000 in funding to provide food and a sustainable, solar-powered irrigation system to the tribe.

Fight COVID-19 Starvation
Miyamoto Relief and Wild Philanthropy present an online auction benefiting the Kara Tribe of the Omo Valley. Food shortages and starvation began affecting the previously self-sufficient tribe in early December. Inspired by their plight, Anish Kapoor has generously donated 30 prints which are now available at auction. All funds raised will go to food and a sustainable irrigation system for the tribe.
