A city-wide exhibition turning creativity into direct aid for families displaced by the LA fires.

In the wake of the devastating wildfires that swept through Los Angeles, thousands of families are facing the unthinkable—rebuilding their lives from nothing. At Miyamoto Relief, we believe recovery is a community effort. That is why we are proud to launch 1000 Drawings LA: a city-wide art exhibition with a single, urgent mission.

Buy a drawing. Help families rebuild.

What Is 1000 Drawings LA?

1000 Drawings LA is a grassroots humanitarian initiative that transforms original artwork into direct financial aid for fire-displaced families. Participating venues across Los Angeles display hand-drawn works from community members, students, creatives, and corporate teams. Passersby become donors in seconds—no app, no friction, no barriers.

Every drawing is available for $25 or more. Every dollar raised goes directly to families impacted by the fires. 100%.

How It Works

We have streamlined the path from bystander to donor into three simple steps:

  1. Scan — Walk past a participating venue and scan the QR code on the window display.
  2. Pay — Complete a secure, one-tap mobile checkout. No app required.
  3. Collect — Present your receipt in-store and take your original artwork home.

The result is an impulse act of generosity that leaves participants with a tangible, one-of-a-kind piece of art—and the knowledge that they helped a real family in crisis.

Collector Pieces from Alcon Entertainment

To drive foot traffic to our partner venues and reward collectors, 1000 Drawings LA features rare pieces donated by Alcon Entertainment—the production company behind acclaimed films and series including Blade Runner 2049, The Expanse, Prisoners, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and The Garfield Movie.

Among the community drawings, you may find original production sketches, concept art, and props from Alcon’s legendary productions—including the Blade Runner franchise. These one-of-a-kind collector items are scattered throughout the city, making every visit to a participating venue a potential discovery.

Anyone Can Contribute—Create a Drawing

You do not need to be a professional artist to be part of this. All you need is a message of hope and a half-sheet of paper (5.5″ x 8.5″). Here is how to participate:

  1. Create a simple piece of art that sends a message of hope to your community.
  2. Drop off your drawing at any participating host location across Los Angeles.
  3. Your art becomes direct aid—100% of its sale goes to a fire-displaced family.

Find Your Role: Get Involved Today

1000 Drawings LA is powered by the people, businesses, and creatives of our city. There is a role for everyone:

Host

Transform your business into a beacon of hope. Retail shops, cafes, restaurants, and any business with public-facing space can display drawings in their window or on their walls—at no cost—while showing their commitment to LA’s recovery.

Create

Host a Drawing Party with your team, office, school, or community group. Create art together, build morale, and fuel the initiative. It is team-building with purpose.

Sponsor

Your financial support is the operational foundation of this project. Because sponsors underwrite our minimal costs, 100% of every drawing sale goes directly to families. Sponsorships are tax-deductible and align your brand with a powerful, city-wide movement.
